I pretty much share your views about that which you have written. Many people agree with you (including myself) and many of us write about and point out these American cultural shortfalls.

But … That is no longer enough, in my view. We need to begin to make things happen. It would please me immensely, rather than to simply read your writing (and agree with most of it) where you point out the problems and identify what is needed … (which are quite good, by the way) … to have you point out what we can do (what I can do) to make the changes you point out, come about.

For example, what can I do to bring about this change in others. My personal goal is to be a positive role-model for others (all others) but that has a VERY minor affect (if any)on our citizenry in general.
