I believe that Jesus Christ is the Savior and Redeemer of the world. That may sound like a fairly general statement and one that is accepted by most Christians but perhaps could use some more discussion. Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world because it is only through the Atonement of Christ that men and women can eventually become united with God the Father and Christ in time and in eternity. Christ suffered for the sins of the world so that we who have committed those sins do not have to suffer the consequences if we choose to follow him and access the grace that His atonement provides.
